Marching Band Camp Schedule
· ALL STUDENTS SHOULD WEAR AND REAPPLY SUNSCREEN AND EAT A FULL BREAKFAST!
· We encourage all students to bring water from home. The more water the students drink, the safer and more productive they will be.
· All students must wear shoes that are laced up and tied correctly. Boots, high tops, and shoes that are not laced correctly inhibit proper marching technique and could injure ankles.
· Light colored tops and shorts.
· Hats are strongly encouraged.
· Lunches will need to be brought from home or delivered during the lunch break. A refrigerator and microwave is available. Students are not allowed to leave school property unless dismissed by the directors.
Monday July 19th through Friday July 23rd
8:30 AM Band Room open
9:00 Marching Fundamentals (Full Band)
(10:30 – 11:00 Break)
12PM Winds dismissed/Lunch*
1:00 Colorguard/Percussion Camp
6:00 Students dismissed/clean up
6:30 Band Room closes (students must be picked up by this time).
* Colorguard and percussion students should bring a lunch or have a lunch brought to them.
Monday July 26th through Thursday July 29th
8:30AM Band Room opens
9:00 Fundamental Block/Drill
(10:30 – 11:00 Break)
12:00PM Lunch (brought by student)
1:00 Sectionals
(3:00 – 3:30)
5:00 Dinner (provided by Band Boosters)
6:00 Drill
8:00 Dismissal/Clean up
8:30 Band Room closes (students must be picked up by this time).
Friday July 30th
8:30AM Band Room open
9:00 Full Band Rehearsal
12:00PM Lunch/clean up/Prepare for performance
1:30 First Performance of the 2010 Marching Band!!!
All students will be dismissed after closing announcements.
Monday August 2nd
4:00PM Band room open
5:00PM Students need to meet in the Regions Bank parking lot at this time. They will need to wear blue jeans and their band shirt.
6:00 Education Celebration begins! The band will perform between 6:00 and 7:30PM
7:30 After students load up their equipment they will be dismissed
