Mr. Joey Wilburn accepts the position as our new Assistant Band Director!  Mr. Wilburn worked extensively with our brass section in the fall and started a Brass Ensemble this spring.  He will be taking on a more active role this next year, assisting Mr. Wright and working with all aspects of the band program.

  • First Week of School       
    Rehearsal Schedule
    Tuesday August 3rd 3:00PM to 5:30PM
    Friday August 6th 3:00PM to 5:30PM
    * The normal rehearsal schedule will begin the week of August 9th and is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 3:00PM to 5:30PM

Upcoming Events/Performances

  • July 26th through the 30th - Band Camp *Mandatory for all members* Monday through Thursday 9:00AM to 8:00PM - Friday 9:00AM to 12:00PM  FIRST PERFORMANCE! Friday 1:30PM

  • Aug 2nd - Education Celebration Performance on the Smithville Square.
    Ed    ucation Celebration Performance
    4:00PM Band room open
    5:00PM Students need to meet in the Regions Bank parking lot at this time.  They will need to wear blue jeans and their band shirt. 
    6:00 Education Celebration begins!  The band will perform between 6:00 and 7:30PM
    7:30 After students load up their equipment they will be dismissed.  Students who loaded must return to the school to help unload!

  • 10/15 – Upperman Away

  • 10/29 – Livingston Academy Away

  • 10/30 – Highland Rim Marching Contest

  • 11/6 – Division II State Contest

  • 11/11 – Veteran’s Day Parade

  • Blue Devil Invitational TBA

     Make sure and get all of these dates on your calendars!  All students must attend every performance and we need all of the parents to come out and give their support!
